The hollow baseboard cove system is adhered watertight to the concrete floor using the Pro-SealOnce Adhesive. Water seeping through cold joints from hydrostatic pressure is captured by the Water X-Tract baseboard and quietly redirected along the basement floor to the drainage outlet such as a sump pump pit or floor drain. Its ribbed, concave base design compresses and secures the Pro-SealOnce sealant against the floor, preventing leaks and maintaining a long-lasting watertight bond. The system’s extended toe keeps it upright and flush against the wall, forming a tight seal for superior performance in moisture-prone areas.

Pro-SealOnce is a new generation sealant exclusive to our system. Pro-SealOnce Adhesive was specially designed to bond the Water X-Tract System watertight to the cement floor, even in wet conditions! Pro-SealOnce is a moisture-activated sealant. Wet or dry, the Pro-SealOnce will create a long-lasting watertight bond! Simply clean and sponge the floor free of dirt and grime. Apply a tall, thick bead of Pro-SealOnce to the bottom of the Water X-Tract main section. Set the system in place and gently press down the main section and hold in place for about 15 to 30 seconds.

Does this system work in rooms with wood framing or finished walls?

Yes. It’s designed to fit tightly at the base of walls, even behind framing or drywall, making it suitable for finished spaces. The widest point of the channel will be about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 away from the wall. If the basement is already finished, the bottom portion of the finish work will need to be removed to install the system against the concrete wall and adhere to the concrete floor. You can easily finish a basement after installing the system by boxing out around the channel with wood framing.
