Basement Drain Mains
|
|||||||||||
| Basement Drain Mains design integrates the reliable SquidGee Dry system with the tried and true Sub floor tile system. 20 Years ago contractors thought water under the floor was the primary source of Hydrostatic Pressure. Since then advances have been made in identifying patterns that generate the Hydrostatic Pressure, which cause basement seepage. Because the first sign of water seepage is always at the joint where the floor and wall meet, it was generally believed that water levels were rising from under the floor. Today it is common knowledge that water builds up around the exterior of the walls. Block wall foundations have hollow cells that fill with ground water. Poured walls seep water through the cold joint where the floor meets the wall. New high tech Coatings help prevent water from seeping through exterior walls but most incorporate a secondary system to drain the walls which as it turns out is the primary source for water seepage into a basement. |
